Bunurong Coast Education presents activities with an environmental focus to
members of the SGCS and the broader community, with excursions, presentations
and holiday programs on dinosaur discovery, rockpooling, astronomy and more,
as well as activities for children being educated at home. We have a range of
programs for schools and interested groups, and can also tailor talks and
excursions to your requirements.
Book a Talk at Your Own Location
We can also come to your school or meeting room with a presentation, before or
after you visit the area. Would you like to know more about rockpool life and
coastal landforms? Dinosaurs and megafauna? Animals and plants? Saltmarsh and
mangroves? Climate change, wetlands, land use issues? Regional history and
geography? Talk to BCE!
For more information on our programs,
please email bce@sgcs.org.au.
We offer scheduled activities for holidays and occasional weekends, with rock
pooling, the dinosaur dig, astronomy, spotlighting and more. School and tour
group excursions need to be planned for specific tide times, numbers and ages
of attendees, and relevant study topics.
The first dinosaur fossil ever discovered in Australia was found near Eagles
Nest on the Bunurong Coast, and Inverloch is home to a famous dinosaur dig
site, with some 15,000 bones collected from the fossil layer. Find out more
about our local dinosaurs or
book a field-trip to the Dinosaur
Dig site.
